Show Length

Single performances are approximately 4:30 minutes. Performance lengths will be determined in part by the song selection.

Ambient Single Performance

Sally performs multiple superficial and deep tissue piercings. This act can last 3+ minutes.

Ambient Hourly/ Roaming Piercing 

Sally does not offer ambient hourly piercing performances or roaming piercing performances.

​

Multiple Date Contracts

Piercings require over 24 hours to fully heal. As such, Sally does not offer pincushion acts for entertainment contracts spanning multiple dates.

​

Stunts

Sally’s acts may include facial piercings through the eyebrows, the sides of the mouth, the jaw, the bicep, the hand (usually paired with a liquid filled syringe to create a spray effect), as well as superficial decorative piercings.

General Staging Requirements

The Stage

Pincushion acts can be performed in tight environments with minimal staging requirements.

Lighting

Pincushion performances are best perceived in well lit environments.

Safety & Liability

Audience Separation

Pincushion acts are best viewed in intimate environments, however patrons should never be close enough to the performer to touch her or her tools.

​

Blood

Sally does her best to limit the amount of blood spilled during a performance however, there is always a possibility for bleeding. As such, this act may not be suitable for venues that offer food service.

Considerations for Outdoor Performances

Extreme Temperatures

Sally will not perform piercing acts outdoors once the temperature reaches approximately 32° Fahrenheit (0° Celsius). Some performers might, but not Sally. She does not like to be cold. Additionally, bundling for warmth can limit the amount of exposed skin available for piercing.

Weather & Inclement Conditions

It is not possible to predict the weather with accuracy when planning for outdoor performances that will take place at a future date. Alternate plans should be made for performances in the event of rain, storms, or other conditions that may be considered dangerous or otherwise unsuitable for outdoor performances.

Travel Considerations

Luggage

Pincushion supplies such as spokes, hypodermic needles, and syringes can be transported in checked luggage.
